A question has been going around the social networks: If kinetic energy is converted to thermal energy upon impact, how hard to you need to slap a chicken to cook it? One response suggested raising the chicken’s temperature to 400 °F, which is far too hot, and it used an “average slap energy” that was not explained. Here then, is my analysis.
It is midsummer, and dozens of people have come to this place, known as Externsteine, to celebrate the longest day of the year. Situated in the northern forests of Germany, Externsteine is a remarkable landmark which draws many visitors year-round. It is a unique location with unusual features—qualities which make Externsteine a beautiful and spiritual place to visit any time of year. Traveling to Externsteine can be a renewing, relaxing, and empowering experience, especially for busy urbanites that might need to get away.
Here’s a recipe for shakshouka, based on what I threw together the other day. You can change things up as you like, of course. This is a dish featuring eggs poached in a tomato sauce with peppers, onions and spices. This recipe originated in Tunisia. Serve it for any meal of the day!
Diamonds are a scam! They are common and worthless. One company has cornered the market, controlling how many diamonds are mined and how they reach the consumer. Mining for diamonds is back-breaking work, and the wages are ridiculously low.
It is for this reason I have created the diamond lattice structure pendant. This pendant features the structure of diamonds, formed by carbon atoms in a specific arrangement.
Pick from a variety of materials, including everything from solid gold to white plastic. Shown here is the default material, blackened steel, giving the traditional appearance of carbon atom models.

My latest website project is for a fishing adventure company in Vancouver, Washington, called Fish With Me, which offers tournaments and fishing trips to Baja / East Cape and other prime fishing locations.
This website was fun and gratifying to build. It was a major redesign from an older site, and was more than ready for a fresh look and some modernization, to make it bright and inviting. We reorganized the information, remodeled, added a blog, and created profiles for Buzz, Twitter, Facebook, Picasa, and Youtube.
This site is an example of how a small business or individual can start building a community around their services or any topic of interest with a few simple tools. It is to these small businesses and individuals that I hope to bring the full power of the web with customized, professional graphics and layout.
Do you need to modernize? Want to have the ability to make your own updates without advanced HTML skills? Whether you are in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area or elsewhere, email me or make an appointment to discuss your needs.
